Might as well ask this in here too. Kick it around if it's not in the right board.
When we do a party in Brussels at a venue not having the necessary gear, usually we can get CDJ's at shops for something like 100 euro + taxes. Then you still need to get technics somewhere, mixer, etc.
If you rent the soundsystem, the lowest price so far I got offered for flightcases with 2x CDJ, mixer, and 2 technics is 120 euro excl. taxes. So far, Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie and AFAIK all other regional services have no interest in carrying a booth, and if they do it's usually just Denon cd players etc.
I'm curious to hear from other people organising stuff in Jeugdhuizen, venues etc. where the gear isn't available if there would be any need for a centralised booth service, because we are thinking of proposing to do it here for Brussels: I even had to rent and go pick up on foot 2 CDJ's at 20 jaar Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, which was just bonkers.
My idea would be to get the mixer (Ecler Nuo 5) and CDJ's in a flight and for instance get them out for 50 euro, pick-up and bring back. Maybe add 2 1210's, not sure yet.
