Post DJ controllers
http://www.bekafun.com/index.php?action ... 23&aid=746

Pioneer is releasing a DJ Controller specially made for Serato & Traktor. Looks very interesting to me, I'm wondering what the thoughts on breakz are about controllers.

Can't really judge / think straight about this one. Can you hook up other cdjs or tt's on it (serato 2ch, traktor 4ch ???)?

Think this will sell pretty good actually, a lot of home djs buy cdj400s and a djm 400 (don't ask me why...), that's in total almost 600euro more than this thing. you still need traktor or serato though, but people already having traktor would sell there cds & mixer probably for this.

no u use the jogwheels for deck control. for 4 decks you can assign each jogwheel to 2 decks in traktor, and switch between each deck.

wouldn't ever buy something like that.

imagine the day one single important part is malfunctioning for whatever reason .. you'll need to replace the whole damn thing probably

Tbh this looks just the same as a cdj/djm combo & a small pc... The only minor I can see is that when 1 small thing breaks, you're screwed.
But everyting will be perfectly synced & balanced etc, perfect for dj's who have to spin all night with a huge variety on genres. They can use their complete databass from their computer directly. No more cd's, memory sticks, walls of vinyl behind them, ..

Basicly this is a fancy, way too expensive midi-controller, or am I missing something?

Looks like any other 2 jogwheel + mixer midi-controller i've seen so far, it just has Pioneer printed on it.

Which is probably why it's €500 more expensive than eg Native Instruments own Traktor Kontrol midithing, no way those touch sensitive jogs cost €250 each.
