Post Like a car....
The Debate is heated, thats for sure...

Dunno if i can add anything new to this conversation but couple of points i can make from my own experiences is that :

1. If the crowd is having it, they're having it (Mc or not) - having Mc'd all across Russia, the crowd didnt always understand me or other guest Mc's but if they were loving it, they were loving it and raved it down regardless (after all, does everyone understand exactly what is said in every tune? As long as the flow is there....its all good)
2. If the Mc was compared to a racing car, then the skills of the driver can only account for so much. To be a good driver, you need :
i) Technically competitive car (good mic, good sound system),
ii) Good racing track (good venue, good accoustics)
iii) Good / dedicated supporters (paid to be there, glad to be there, interested in being there)
iv) Good understanding of the technical difficulties involved - you can't just hop in a racing car and win the race (it might look easy standing up on stage hyping the crowd but it aint; knowledge that the Mc has practised long and hard to be where he is)
v) Races cannot always go as planned (mistakes happen, the race is not always going to be as good as the last, very rare that there is a "dream race" - shit happens)
vi) There are other racing drivers out there that are almost always going to be considered better by others (however good, original an Mc is, theres always gonna be people that think your style, flow + general performance is not as good as the next mans/gals; everyone has there own personal favourites)
vii) Some drivers are more suited to rallye, other to F1, others to touring cars (theres many different styles of D&B and some styles suit Mc's better than others. Mc's will always be competitive but perhaps prefer certain styles to others)
viii) If your not happy with a race and the drivers in it you should have made the choice to not buy the ticket and not bothered coming along as you know full well b4 the event what was to be expected (the line-up is known, which Mc is going to be there + how they flow; dont hate the Mc saying he "ruined" the night when you know what was to be expected
ix) The race is organised for entertainment (the Mc is there with the intention give his/her best performance - but like drivers, Mc's can have their off days)
x) Organisation, for-planning + sponsorship has a lot to do with the quality of the race and how its organised (an Mc is invited to race and is rarely part of the organisation; its not the Mc's fault if things are not up to scratch)
xi) you can always organise your own race if your not happy with the races put on by others (if you think you can do it better, then do it)
xii) anyone can be a race driver but not everyone (if you really want to be an Mc, you can be, nothing holding anyone back)
xiii) racing drivers only stay competitive for so long but more often than not the greats are always lurking around at race events (Mc's come + go + but legends always remain and shuffle around various gigs)
xiv) Drivers often race for no salary + are their for their love of racing; if they get paid then its often a bonus (Mc's often don't get paid and do it for their love of the music; any money [or free beer] just considered an added bonus)
xv) Many people attend the race for the atmosphere, the relaxation, the spirit, to see people perform to the best of their abilities - others are only there to see a big crash or comment on how bad the race was (most people go for a fun night out, some people seem to go out just to comment on how bad an Mc was)

Well, if there's a conclusion to be had, I aint no racing driver thats for sure and perhaps the comparison should have been about something else???
