Post drum 'n bass only
attention producers.

Considering the mass submissions on this forum
breakz.be would like to make something clear.

Please post only drum 'n bass related tracks into this forum, any other submittions will be deleted.

Simply because section this is a reference to Belgian drum 'n bass producers and their works and have nothing to do with other styles.

(bootleg rmx eg. tunes that are in violation with copyright).
a pm will be sent towards the member.

what we love to hear is:
. drum 'n bass
. old skool
...

what we leave to specific fora:
.electro
.nu breakz
...

in attempt to keep this forum fresh and strictly drum 'n bass,
Breakz.be supports this way of submitting Belgian drum 'n bass tracks.

ATT. when submitting tunes&mixes, we'll adapt the same rules over here, non dnb related tracks or mixes will not feature.

We think this is a fair way.

peace.

and why do they split it up then?

Is it because jungle is the roots
and drum 'n bass the new one

there is like a diference, in patterns and so on

split up? It is NOT split up ... it is the same

Jungle is just mostly assiociated with the older more breaky style (up until 95-96) and Drum 'n bass with everything after. And everything before 92-93 was called mostly Jungletechno

but it is not because it is assiociated with that that it is split up ... it is still the same music, just another name

it was called drum and bass in the beginning of the nineties too... 2 names for one music...

just that the evolution so far sounds really different from the sounds of the early nineties jungle/dnb... not necessarily a bad thing (altho at the moment... :D )

I don't wanna start (or continue) an endless dull conversation about tomato tomatoe or anything, but according to me jungle is very different from dnb, it's not because it's all around 160-180BPM it can be called the same. Jungle has got very particular sounds, you can also hear in dnb once in a while, but... whatever.. I mean something like Uk Apache is 100% jungle and 0% dnb if y'axe me.

:?:  What is your "drum and bass" definition?
for many people drum and bass evoke fast breakbeat with lot of bass...
Now drum and bass has evolved to another more complex style and it's difficult to fix a limit between electro and breakcore.
I think in the future drum and bass will change completely and if you say drum and it's like this, drum and bass will not change.
It's interesting to listen all the original production (it's what it like the best)
MERCI BIEN

One of the everlasting discussions in the scene, well let's just say that the resemblences are a lot bigger than the differences, so no-one, or at least only a few will mind if u call them the same?
